Talking about Daily Routines

Dialogue:

Linda: Hola, ¡qué amable de tu parte! ¡Fue tan estresante en el trabajo hoy! Pero ya terminó. (Hello, how kind of you! It was so stressful at work today! But it’s over!)

Brian: ¡Qué bonita oficina! ¿Cuándo comenzaste a trabajar aquí? (Nice office! When did you begin to work here?)

Linda: Solicité este trabajo hace cinco años y en 2018 empecé a trabajar aquí. (I applied for this job five years ago, and in 2018, I started to work here!)

Brian: Pensé mucho en la película de ayer. No entendí todo, pero lo pasé muy bien contigo. (I thought a lot about the film yesterday. I did not understand everything, but I had a really great time with you.)

Linda: Soñé con ella anoche. ¿Cómo estuvo tu día en el trabajo? (I dreamed at night about it. How was your day at work?)

Brian: También estuve muy ocupado hoy. Los clientes tenían muchas preguntas, ¡pero no compraron mucho! Jajaja. (I was also very busy today. The customers had a lot of questions, but didn’t buy very much! Hahaha!)

Linda: Mi jefe no fue muy amable hoy. Llegué tarde esta mañana porque no sonó mi alarma. O mejor dicho, ¡no la escuché! Jajaja. (My boss was not very nice today. I came in late this morning, because my alarm did not go off. Or let’s just say, I did not hear it… Hahaha)

Brian: ¡Wow! Cuando me estaba duchando hoy, sonó mi alarma. Tampoco la escuché. Mientras estaba preparando el desayuno, estaba escuchando las noticias y de repente me di cuenta. (Wow! When I was showering today, my alarm went off. I did not hear it either. While I was preparing breakfast, I was listening to the news and it suddenly occurred to me.)

Linda: Sí, mientras dormía, soñé mucho… ¡Simplemente no podía escuchar la alarma! No me sentía muy bien mientras dormía. ¡Cogí un resfriado ayer mientras iba a casa! (Yes, while I was sleeping, I was dreaming a lot…. I just could not hear the alarm! I was not feeling very well, while I was sleeping. I caught a cold yesterday, while I was going home!)

Brian: Cuando caminábamos a casa desde el cine ayer, comenzó a llover mucho. ¡Vamos en coche a casa! (When we were walking home from the cinema yesterday, it began to rain heavily. Let’s drive home!)
